About these terms
These terms apply when you use the SneakerScan website, iOS app, API, and related services. By using SneakerScan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you have questions, contact hello@sneakerscan.app.
What SneakerScan does
SneakerScan helps users scan Nike shoe box labels, identify style codes, deduce colourways, check eBay market information, build stock lists, count duplicate boxes, and export stock data. SneakerScan is a market reference and stock workflow tool, not a guarantee of resale value.
Your responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- use SneakerScan lawfully and responsibly;
- check important scan, stock, size, and price information yourself;
- keep exports and stock records accurate for your own use;
- avoid sending unlawful, harmful, or misleading information;
- not interfere with, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the API;
- not bypass rate limits, authentication, or security controls; and
- not use SneakerScan to infringe anyone's rights.
Market data and accuracy
SneakerScan uses OCR, search terms, third-party APIs, and cached colourway evidence. Results may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, misread, unavailable, or wrong.
eBay listings, prices, shipping costs, seller information, and other market data are provided by third parties. They can change at any time. You are responsible for checking live listings, condition, authenticity, fees, tax, postage, and demand before buying or selling.
No resale, financial, or tax advice
SneakerScan does not provide financial, investment, resale, accounting, or tax advice. Any price range, market signal, or listing result is informational only. You make buying, selling, pricing, and stock decisions at your own risk.
Third-party services and stores
SneakerScan may rely on services provided by Vercel, Upstash, eBay, Brave Search, Apple, and other infrastructure or API providers. Those services may have their own terms and policies. SneakerScan is not responsible for third-party websites, marketplaces, APIs, or app store services.
No affiliation
SneakerScan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nike, eBay, Apple, Brave, Vercel, or any other third-party brand mentioned in the service. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of SneakerScan at any time. We do not guarantee that the app, website, API, analytics, marketplace data, colourway lookup, exports, or stock-list features will always be available, uninterrupted, or error free.
Intellectual property
SneakerScan, including its design, code, text, branding, and original content, is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create competing services from SneakerScan except where law allows or we give written permission.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use SneakerScan.
Liability
SneakerScan is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties, conditions, and representations that are not expressly stated in these terms.
We are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue, lost stock value, lost data, business interruption, indirect loss, or consequential loss arising from your use of SneakerScan.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or stop access to SneakerScan if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, abused the service, created risk for us or others, or used the service unlawfully.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as SneakerScan changes. The updated terms will apply from the date they are posted, unless a later date is stated. Your continued use of SneakerScan after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
