Managing Stock Lists

Create, rename, select, clear, delete, merge, scan into, edit, and export SneakerScan stock lists.

Current Stock

SneakerScan creates an initial stock list called Current Stock. Current Stock is protected so it cannot be deleted, but it can be renamed. This gives the app a safe default list while still letting you adapt the name to your workflow.

Create a stock list

Open the Stock tab and use the stock list menu. Choose the create option, enter a name, and confirm. The new list becomes available from the same menu.

Good list names are practical and short, for example:

  • Current Stock
  • June Delivery
  • Shop Floor
  • Outlet
  • eBay Queue
  • Stock Check

Rename or select a list

Use the stock list menu to rename a list or switch between lists. The Stock tab shows the rows for the selected list only.

Choose the destination list before scanning. Scan to add will add new items to the selected list.

Scan stock into a list

After each successful scan, SneakerScan adds the item to the selected list or increases the quantity if it matches an existing row.

Edit or delete a stock row

Tap a row to open the stock detail screen. You can edit brand, model, colourway, style code, quantity, and UK, EU, US men's, US women's, and US kids sizes.

The stock list row shows the fields you usually need at a glance: model, colourway, brand, UK size, style code, and quantity. EU and US sizes are shown on the detail screen.

To delete a row, swipe left on the row and choose Delete. SneakerScan asks for confirmation before deleting it.

Clear or delete a stock list

Clear list removes every row from the selected list, but keeps the list itself. Use this when you want to reuse a list name for a fresh count or new batch.

You can delete non-default stock lists from the stock list menu. Current Stock cannot be deleted. If you no longer want that name, rename it instead.

Merge one stock list into another

Use Merge stock into when you want to move rows from the current source list into another destination list. Before the merge happens, SneakerScan warns you that the action is not reversible.

During a merge:

  • Matching rows in the destination list have quantities increased.
  • Non-matching rows are moved into the destination list.
  • The source list is left empty of the moved rows.
  • Incomplete rows that cannot be matched are moved separately.

Use Export CSV from the stock list menu to export the currently selected list.
